Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment (Maximum Ride #1) by, James Patterson

Publishing House: Little Brown
Genre: Science fiction
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Six unforgettable kids—with no families, no homes—are running for their lives. Max Ride and her best friends have the ability to fly. And that's just the beginning of their amazing powers. But they don't know where they come from, who's hunting them, why they are different from all other humans... and if they're meant to save mankind—or destroy it.

Reasons:
It has a while since I have read this book so this may not be as in depth as the other posts I have done in the past.

Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment is the first book in the Maximum Ride series. When James Patterson wrote this book he intended it to be for an adult audience so the first 3 books have more language then the last books because he realized that there were more children reading his books and he wanted them to be suitable those readers.

This book is about six kids. Six kids with wings: Iggy, Nudge, Angel, Gazzy, Fang, and Max (Maximum). They were all genetically enhanced in a place called ‘The School’ which they have escaped from at the beginning of the story. One day the kids are attacked by Erasers and Angel is kidnapped. They set out to get her back and discover information on how to find their real parents.

The only reason I gave the book the rating I did was because of the language. However if you can get past that in the first three books it will be well worth it.
